Light for the sea, adventures for the robots !

We pursue the development of new systems for underwater observation using the latest robotics, information processing technologies, and sensing technologies.  These systems will realize wide-area, high-accuracy, and long-term observation through collaboration of multiple autonomous agents such as autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).  Some of the ongoing projects are as follows;  3D visualization of rough seafloor such as hydrothermal vent fields and wide area observation through multiple AUVs collaboration,  development of seafloor docking stations for AUVs, and methods for processing massive amounts of information produced by these systems.
